Asian dolls, from hero arts.

When I saw these stamps I knew they would be in my collection. They are so cute and I really like them, I did a simple card here using some bubble bling, and some dcwv pp.

Colored with prisma pencils and babyoil, and I did three ways, one white, one with a little peach and one with solid peach. Three different looks for three different girls.

Hello Owl card!

I told you I would post a card today, can you believe I am actually doing it. I can't! LOL

I was in an image swap over at stamp haven, and this was one of the images I received. I love it. Now, the other girls who colored it did a much better job and I am not as pleased know that I have seen theirs. I do like the wing, the way I colored it you can see a heart it just looks neat irl.

Papers are K&co. colored with prisma pencils.

Happy Anniversary, a get away and more!

Hey Everyone,

I actually made cards this past weekend so will take some pics and have them uploaded tomorrow.

My husband and I just celebrated our 10 wedding anniversary. I know some old timers are saying that is nothing, but these days it seems to mean a lot, and to us it means a lot more!

I love my hubby, he's very good to me and I would not trade him in for all the stamps in the world.

We both took the week off, to just chill. Well, chill we did but we did not...

Wed: Vacation begins...Dh, slept he worked all night, I had dr's apts, kids had hair cuts apt.
Thursday: Lazed around house, did some laundry cleaned etc...
Friday: Took the kids to see the Narnia exhibit in Philly, and went to the Franklin inst. & Ikea..long day

Sat: put together beds and dressers we got from Ikea...another long day...lol

Sunday, left for little getaway...

Monday: went out for dinner, had a lovely breakfast, relaxed...ahhhh (and I got sick go figure)

Tuesday: Came home, did laundry..etc..etc..etc...

That went quick, so as you can see I was a little chilled & a little busy. It was nice, and tomorrow it's back to the real world...wahhhhh!

I'll post the cards tomorrow!

Winter Haven skinny challenge!

Well, winter haven started today, that is an online stamping event over at stamp haven.

One of the challenges posted by Nancy, was to create a skinny. I had never heard of or done one before so it was a lot of fun.

I used a plastic pc of paper, and punched out the crowns using the Martha Stewart punch. I then sprayed the Tattered angels spray on that kinda thick and closer, I took of the mask and then sprayed lightly and further away with the same color.

I then just took a vintage image from Lisa's altered art and added the stickles and the diamond glaze to make the wand look better.

added some buttons and the rubons and done! I would change the little tag next time to be a flower. But, it worked for now!

Thanks for stopping in.

Cards for heroes fundraiser!

You are invited to a cards for heroes party!

When: February 28, 2009

Time: 1-4

So, you want to know what cards for heroes is. It's a great organization started by Sandy Allnock, out of her desire to help our troop write home to their families. See, there is no Hallmark in Iraq. I know in this day and age our troops can email etc. But, as YOU know there is nothing like getting a HANDMADE card in the mail, an I miss you, a happy birthday. Nothing like it in the world. I am so honored to have been able to donate to this fantastic cause.

So far, Sandy, and her shipping pose has mailed out 95,447 handmade cards. Costing them a total of $4,183.03. A lot of Sandy's own money has helped mail these cards. A lot were also donations. What My goal is to make at least 100 cards. I am also hoping everyone can donate a few dollars to help in shipping. My goal would be 100 dollars.

If your not able to stop in and help make cards and would like to donate to this great cause you can do one of two things. You can drop off a check (made out to cards for heroes) to one little spark, or you can visit the site and follow the instructions using pay pal. (well, you could mail her a check too)

I have been very busy making card bases, scoring and cutting. I'm going to bring a bunch of stamps and supplies, if you can please bring scissors and adhesive, and any miss you stamps or thinking of you stamps you may have. (I don't have many of that type)

One other thing I will have is any hero cards ready for letter to be written and tucked into the boxes, if you would like to send a little note of thanks to the troops this is the time to do it!

Please join me in the effort to make as many cards and raise as much money as possible. I made over 300 just in case we get a lot of people. (hint-hint)

If you can come for the whole time or just a half hour please do so, every little bit helps!

If your able to make it please drop me a line or let Pat, know so I can be prepared!

*****IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DROP OFF ANY PREMADE CARDS TO THE SHOP PLEASE DO SO BEFORE THE 28TH, SO I CAN SHIP IT ALL AT ONCE!******

Hello February!

Well, I have a lot going here in my home. So, blogging has been the last on my mind as well as crafting...ack!

This morning at 4:45 am, my family & I said good-bye to my mother and father in law. Today they moved to Missouri, that is about 24++ hours away from us here on the east coast. We are the last of our family to live here.

It was one of the hardest things to see them leave, not only are they my kids buddies, but also a help when it comes to babysitting. I found a new babysitter for the wed that they watched the kids and today they said they really won't be able to do it. Back to square one!

So, these past few weeks have been pretty hard. My youngest son, was(is) very attached to my mother in law, they were always buddies, I suppose but it seems this last year they really got attached. So, seeing him cry every night, and just be so sad has been very hard. On the positive side, some of my online friends have been sending him cards. He has been so excited to get mail, and has now asked if he has any mail, and that to me sounds grown up.

Sarah, another online friend sent him a 100 min phone card so that he can call her anytime he wants, we don't have long distance, and I don't have a cell, so he is limited on calling her. NOW, he can call her when ever he wants. Thank you Sarah!

Penny, sent him a card from England, I don't' think he knew how far it was or that it was another country till I "splained" it to him! (he's only 8)

Pam, the one in only sitequeen at the stamphaven site also sent him a card. They are all so pretty and he has enjoyed them!

Another darling friend to me Louise, sent me a surprise rak, with the most gorgeous stamps...here comes the stinking tear.... she wanted to cheer me up, and just thought I could use them. I can't even begin to tell you what that means to me. I just got so overwhelmed when I opened the box. How can a technically stranger care for me so much.

What that tells me is she is a loving women who listens to God, and I wish her many blessings this year!

Ahhh, well lets see, I can't seem to find my camera but when I do I'll share some pics.

I'll be glued to the TV for the Superbowl, I am from Pittsburgh so GO STEELERS!

Thanks everyone for your virtual hugs, and totally awesome prayers, we here feel them and welcome them!

God Bless,
