FIRST and foremost I want to thank every single person who has or is serving our country to keep us safe from events like those that happened on 9/11.
For me that day will never be forgotten!
Now, for some 1+1+1
Your challenge if you so chose to accept, is to make a card using three elements
1 BUTTON 1 CHIPBOARD (in any shape size or whatnot) and 1 TAG
Now most of us know elements should come in 3 so this is a pretty good challenge.  
Have fun with this, I chose to use my chipboard as a tag, but You do NOT have to do that. Try to use something from your bin of leftovers!

I have to say sometimes when you think things are really just bad, someone does something so kind it deserves a fantastic hand made card.   My son, was recently diagnosed with Asthma, we do not have health ins for him.   The school nurse at his school, sent a g.c. home to get him inhalers.  I find it amazing that this women who never met us, would go above and beyond to help us.   I made this card for her.

Remember to thank a nurse today, I find them to be amazing  (waving HI, to my favorite Nurse SUE) &  a huge thank you to All the nurses everywhere.  especially My sons school nurse.

Thursday Happy!

Today, I took of Monday & Tuesday, so That I could get my children ready for school.  So, today is my last day of work..whoop whoop, I wish I could have a two day work week every week...LOL

I love doing hot pink and black cards, I love the punk rock images, when the images are so unique and bold, I tend not to over play my embellishments (at least not always)

Hello Hello hello

This card was so easy and fun to make.  I saw on a blog the idea of using su, punch for the sails.  I used some paper to make waves, and mounted it on card stock...easy peasy.  I edged the paper in a white glimmer.  You probably can't see it, but in real life you can ;)

I know I know it's the first day of school, and I'm thinking of Turkey day.  Back to school brings fall, so I guess I am in the mood.

I love coloring direct to stamp, for these type of cards, it's an easy way to get lots of different colors to a stamp. I am not much of a sales women, but SU! markers are perfect for this and they have the best colors.  IMHO!   Copics do not work for direct to rubber stamping.

This set is also from SU, and I really love it.  So much fun!

With Sympathy

One of the hardest cards to make for me is Sympathy cards.  If I know the person who is getting the car to me I can't express in "art" what my sadness is for them.

  When my sister in law, was killed the cards were not as important to me as the thoughts inside of them.

I try to keep them clean and simple and only add items I think will comfort the family.  For example, if there person who passed was a beach person, I tend to make something with that theme.  A gardener would get a lovely flower card.

Today, I'm sad to say that one of our patients from our office passed away, a very young vibrant young man (21) lost his battle to cancer.  He was one of those kids that was just always full of life.  I actually think he lived more in his 21 years than some of us have in our 30+ years.

It was an honor to know him.
