C.A.S card for OWH's skip!

What is a skip?  A skip is a small little blog hop full of BIG inspiration.

What is a C.A.S? Clean and Simple

What is OWH??  What u are gonna ask me that?  to learn more about OWH go HERE!

When I was asked by the OWH team, to add a CAS card for the skip, I knew I wanted to do a pretty background.  I along with many stampers tend to add layers, and embellishments, and forget to just let it alone, to be simple and we'll to know when to stop.  For this card, I used a new STAMPIN UP! set.  I loved this set the minute I saw it.  I really stamped in some yummy summer colors, added pearls to the centers and that was it, mounted it on a co-ordinating color and done.

Remember stampers, it's okay to have one layer, it's okay NOT to add a sentiment, sticker, flower etc..etc..  Just go back to the roots of stamping.   Paper & Ink!

Thank you to Barbara at OWH for thinking of me for this skip.

Please if you have not check out OWH and there effort do so NOW you will not regret it!

(((SORRY I DID NOT KNOW I WAS TO LINK TO ANYONE, I THOUGHT FOR THE SKIP WE WERE NOT DOING THAT  NEXT IS THE LOVELY http://thinkingofinking.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/)))))

Your card is beautiful. This would be a very difficult card for me to make since I always have to do coloring for a card!!

What a beautiful card! I'm guessing those are the new doily stamps from SU? What a great way to use them to make them really stand out.

Great card for CAS. and I agree, every card does nit need a sentiment. Let the person sending it decide what to say in it.

Hi Dawn! So glad to see you again and hope you'll be able to blog more when school starts :)

Your card is beautiful - I love everything about it. I like your description of "clean and simple" as well because it is so true that sometimes less IS more.

Thanks for taking the time to join us on the skip and sharing some inspiration with us!

Very nice example of A CAS card Dawn. I need to work on doing more cards without sentiments. It's a sticking point for me and yet every time I see someone else do it i think it looks great. I love the little pearl bling too. Such a nice finishing touch!

I love all of the circle shapes on this card. The little pearl centers are just perfect to set off the doily shapes. I am inspired to use a stamp set I have of circular shapes. Also, want to add, that I love the stamping off the page technique. :)
