Wow, I can't believe my vacation went so quick! I really did nothing fun! I cleaned the living room, the kids room, went school shopping, went to an eagles game, and took a few naps! I wish I had an extra week. I really wanted to go to the beach (two blocks from my house) or something more fun!! Oh, well I got to sleep in and I did NOT have to clean up after anyone at work, I much rather clean up after my kids trust me!!!

I did make a good many cards this week. I have a lot to share in the next few days. I wanted to share some pics from the Eagles game!

**************************************************************************************

Now onto the project. This is the little candy carrier I will be teaching at the new stamp store. A lot more of that to come in the future. I was playing with it and like how it looks. (I ate the Hershey kisses that were in it sorry) For the class It will be a Winter/Christmas theme & we will be using a muse stamps, so stay tuned for that!!!

I am also trying to find a way to take better pics, as you can see it's not working...lol I know a lot of you use a light box, and I don't really have room or money for one. SO, if you have tips please let me know!!

Well, until tomorrow...Happy Sunday!!

A stinky card & an Eagles game!!

WOooOOoooOOOo, Today I am going to my first professional football game. Eagles vs. Jets. Go Eagles. I picked a really good day, it is Go Green day, they are gonna have booths for info on going green. Now, that is right up my alley!!! I am taking my middle son, he is a MAJOR sports dude! This was his birthday present from me this year. It's supposed to rain, but I know we will have some fun!

Now, onto the card. Another small card made with su pun fun. This is a really cute set. It's perfect for those kids cards. I colored with prisma pencils and baby-oil. I am gonna try to do a little tutorial this weekend. It's a great way to blend your pencils.

Went school shopping yesterday with all three of my boys, Big mistake. Now, I know why I always took them separate. Ugh, Now can someone tell me why they don't make kids clothes for chubby bellied boys!! My youngest son (7) has a belly, but is tall, so NO jeans for him this year, 12 would not fit his belly, and were sooo long, my 12 year old wears a 12 slim, ugh!!!

So, he will be wearing pull on pants and sports pants for a while!

I guess I'll go clean now, lovin' vacation!!!!! lol

Whale Hello!!

Good day bloggers,

Hope all is well, in your neck of the blog sphere!! I am lovin' vacation. My house is a complete MESS!!! I went and did a clean out off all the kids clothes, so that I knew what we needed to buy today at the mall. (I had NO idea they all got so tall) So, they need a lot more than I thought. SHUCKS!!!

I have had time to stamp, and that I am lovin'. This card was fun. I am a BIG fan of small odd shaped cards. I taught a class once for scrappers, We took a mat stack folded the little pcs in half to make simple, small & easy cards. It was a huge hit!

So, this was done w/ su set pun fun & some water & ink. Easy peasey!!

Scrapbook Cafe' challenge card!!!

I made this card for the challenge over at the scrapbook cafe'. This is my not so local scrapbook store. It's about 55-60 miles from me, but I do love it. Pat, from the store hosts a challenge every week. I don't really do them, because they are usually scrapbook layouts, but this week to my happy surprise it was to create a card with layers! WooHOo! I just got this set Olivia's birdies, from all that scraps! I am loving it. I used some layers in ways that I hope she will like. I used white/shimmer acrylic paint for the clouds. I also used diamonds for the leaves.(they were to small to cut out) I popped everything up with pop-dots. I used a pc of green card stock and deckle scissors to make "grass". I hope you enjoy this card, as much as I did makin' it!

This pic lets you see the "layers"

I AM ON VACATION!!!!!!

I can NOT tell you how happy I am. Today, was my last day of work until Sept 3. My last vacation was in Feb, when I went to visit my sister, so I am way over due. That vacation was busy and in Nashville, so I did not get a lot done here. Before that was in 2006 when I went to Disney world. So, yes I am way over due for same stay home, sleep in time.

Tuesday, I will be takin' the kids back to school shopping. Thursday, is the Eagles game. I am really siked about that, I am taking our middle son. I have never been to a pro game and either has he! It should be really fun!

Well, on the creative side, after I get home from my motherly taxi duties, I plan to clean my room/desk and get ready for some major stamping! I should have lots, and lots of great things to share this week!

Paper Parachute card!

Years ago, I took a card class with the owner from Paper Parachutes. It was a fun class. I had the privilege of picking her up from the airport. We got to chat a lot, and on the way to Philly I broke the window in my van. (long story)

So, I was looking in my files, and found this card. The black start is actually an overlay, that went over the pretty paper.

You can find her stuff @ Paper Parachutes Thanks for stopping by today. Be blessed.

String art card!

This card was made a while ago, at my stamp club. Mary, taught us how to do string art. I know the background is with a stampin up stamp, but not sure about the music note. I forgot about his stuff, and found a folder with all the directions. I think I'll make a few more.

The Love alliance.

My dh, just got back from a Christian music & arts festival. This is one of the brochures he brought home for me. I thought it would be good for my weekly green post.

Remember the thirsty!
"Water is life's matter and matrix, mother and medium. There is no life without water."
- Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Nobel Laureate
*Every 15 seconds, someone dies of a waterborne illness.

*Currently over 1 billion people in the world do not have access to an improved drinking water source.

*The money that North America spends on soda/pop each year would be enough to solve the clean water crisis.

*$1 provides one year of clean water for a person in Africa.

"Let us become the change we seek in this world."
-Mohandas Gandhi
BUT I'M JUST ONE PERSON. WHAT CAN I DO?
A percentage of the proceeds from every "Remember the Thirsty" shirt sold goes to the effort to end the clean water crisis in the world. Beyond buying a shirt:
*Continue to educate yourself on the issues. Don't let your knowledge of the clean water crisis stop at this post.
*Promote clean water issues. Raise awareness in your community or school by speaking out for the world's thirsty.
*Come up with creative ways to raise money to build life changing water systems for those dying of thirst.

Sunday dessert!!

For a few months now, I have been making homemade dessert on Sundays. I sometimes do something simple like a cake from a box, and sometimes I do apple crisp, and other Homemade things.

This week I saw these cute little cupcake Popsicles on bakerellas blog, I knew I had to make them. It was fun, messy and ohhh so tasty. and if you look at her pic, and mine you will see they look nothing alike...LOL

They were a big hit, my in-laws were here for din-din. They liked them the kids like them. All is well in the ugly dessert world.

The first pick is my son, making the mixture, this picture is awful, he looks nothing like that, I don't know how to delete it! the second pic is the cake rolled pu with the sticks in it, they go into the freezer like that. The third pic, is the finished product!! Yummy!!

Go world!

Maybee it's not where an athlete's from

that makes us root for them.

Maybe it's not the flag on their back,

or the anthem that we hear when they win

that makes us cheer.

Maybe it's simply that they are human.

And we are human.

And when they succeed, we suceed.
I really like the olympics, I think it's really neat to see how strong, and how full of life people are! I love the ad for visa with the saying above. I wish it were that simple and that all the world could see, that after all we are human, and for that I wish we could all get along!
GO WORLD!!!!

O atc!

Good Saturday Morning Bloggers,

More of the Art Journal!

This page is sorta out of my comfort zone. I am NOT an artist, I can NOT draw for anything. So, for this page we were asked to draw our home & add some things around it. So, I put the pencil to the paper and put the house and then two trees, I like trees and it's a really fun page. I had more fun with this than any of the pages so far.

This picture is the sketch, we had to cover the paper w/ gesso then we put the drawling of our house down.

Then we were to add color and paint etc. I used acrylics then added water to give it some thinner flowing ability. I put it on with swirling motion to get texture. I added pp to the tree trunks, and green to the "heads". I also liked the words. I put "I will love me" Something we all may struggle with a little bit. I also put the words home on my house!
"

My House is not this big!!

Art Journal!

This page is really odd. I have no idea what the artist is going to have us do with it. All she asked is that we journal some private thoughts, then cover it with all types of tape. After that we were to paint over it with a wash of colors! So, This is my mess. Hopefully we will be adding to it!

Tomorrow, I'll be posting my favorite page so far.

See you later!

N for Night ATC!

Good Wednesday Bloggers,

I create these posts on Sunday a lot of the times, since I work a lot during the week.

This is another ATC for my swap. It is so simple, but I really like it for some reason. I painted a moon on a dark blue pc of cardstock and added "starts" with stickles!

Sometimes art can be simple, it does not always need to be over the top. It is just what feels good to you and your eyes that matter!

Create an atc today!! It's fun.

***Sorry about the bad picture, I did not realize it was so icky untill now***

This stamp was a rak, from Theresa from wsw. I love it! PP is from su, the rest is mm and studio G.

Thanks for stopping by, leave me a comment once in a while, I have not been getting much love!!! LOL

Monday Madness & a journal page!

Monday, Monday, Monday, I don't know about you but, I have never been to fond of Mondays. I usually get to go into work at 12 on these days, but since Lisa, is off I get to take her shift at the office too! Yeah, me!!

I got to work on my soul journal this weekend. I am kinda going faster then one page a day. I don't like keeping to her schedule, so I go until I feel done. I forgot to upload the taped page so, I'll do that later. We had to cut squares out and put them on the page. Things like...something blue, something we like, want etc.. It was cool.

Well, see ya later!

Garden green & some pretty flowers!!

I had a nice Saturday. I slept a bit in the am. (Thanks hun!) I then went to lunch at this yummy restaurant with my friend Jessica. When I got home it rained really bad, and I heard ooooh's and ahhhh's. We had a dbl rainbow out side. How cool is that. Not sure if you can see it in the pics.

My gardens got some good rain on and off this weekend. It's sunny, then dark & hailing..Weird weather here at the shore.

I planed sunflowers this spring. They are huge. They were little baby seeds... Ohh, the were so tiny and now they are sooo huge. As you can see from the pics, one is getting it's petals. The buds on these things are huge. My zinnias are also looking mighty fine. I planed them from seeds too! I love watching them grow, bud and bloom!

Take a little time this comming weekend to enjoy the green world around us!

Join the green community!

This past Saturday, at church (We have church in our home) My middle son, invited a few friends. We asked them something that they would like to see done in the community. One young boy said " I would like to see part of our beach cleaned up, you know by the ferry" well, Don't I just love to hear that. SO, we will be cleaning up part of the beach in the next week or so. I really love that kids are getting it!

I wanted to give you some sites, from the book Go Green, Live Rich. Enjoy!

Another sketch card.

I had a great rak the other day, of some cute stamp images. This was one of them (thanks Kristen) I knew that I wanted to do Lauren's (my time,my creations) sketch for this. She puts out a sketch each Saturday. I must say her blog is one of my very favorite blogs. She is a wonderful artist & talks a lot about life within the posts. I like that.

Enjoy the card!

Soul journal part 2,3!

I really hope that you try to work on this project on your own! It is really fun.

The next thing we were to do, was to make the journal our own. For this we were to cover our writings and then add our name to the page! This was so frustrating, I used a red sharpie, and it just ran, and ran! I won't do that again. It turned out the way I wanted. Hey, there are NO mistakes only creative opportunities!

Soul Journal....

I have wanted to do something like this for awhile. Anne, has been doing it on her blog and it prompted me to start my own Soul journal. It's an artist style journal. I really am having fun with it. This is day 1. Your to cover your page with dictionary paper. That was easy. 2nd was to write something that you were feeling. Not to hard!!

I will be posting as I go with this. Check out her blog you'll see some samples and links!

CPS card 76!

This week over at CPS, the sketch was very clean & simple! I loved this paper, and it really could stand alone, I just added a little glimmer mist on the chipboard & a flower! The edge was done with a Martha Stewart punch I got at Michael's.

Hope you like, don't forget to check out the blog and see if you can play along!
**it's a little hard to see the shimmer, and the pic kept comming out dark, sorry!!**

This is a simple card, for someone on 2pp's that was requesting cards for a friend that is ill. I thought this would be perfect.

Clearly this is a card!!

LOL, I know bad pun!! I could not resist. 2pp's is having a little challange to make a clear something. I have only done this once in a class & never on my own. I used a bella stamp, the sentiment is hero arts & the scroll is print works. pp is Junkitz flower*ful.

I will say that this card was fun to make. Now I am not the best measuring person, so it was a bit of challange! (getting four pcs of paper to be exact is tricky!!!)
