inking of you

I just ordered this cute little set from su. The "inking of you" is an older su stamp that my friend Sue, gave me. I needed some kid friendly paper and stamps so the pp is from dcwv Nana pack. I love it. It's so darn cute. This card is for my niece and nephew. I miss them they live in Nashville.

Happy Birthday Vanessa !!

Today would have been my Sister-in-laws 31 birthday. She was killed in January of 2005. I miss her so much. Last year to celebrate her 30 birthday we took the family to Disney. It was our first trip ever and I had the best time. This year after the wedding we are gonna be at the in laws for dinner and dessert. It will be harder this year because we won't be as busy..

This week I got a lovely gift that I will cherish forever. It was from Jackie she made a arch that had a Bible vs on it that was one that I have at my desk in Vanessa's hand writing. It's one of those little cherished things that we have from her. All her belongings were lost in the mudslide so I don't have any of her jewelry or anything that was hers except this paper with the vs.

Psalm 55:6 "oh that I had wings like a dove I would fly away and be at rest."

Wedding card #2

Dh is doing another wedding today. This one is a little fancier than the last. It's all fall colours so I tried to use them and still keep it "weddingish".

I used the cuttlebug in the background and used inkadinkadoo ( i love saying that) stamp on the front. I used daisy d's flowers.

Into the wild....Book review

I have been wanting to get this book (Into the wild) for some time. Now that it will be on the big screen I figured I better run and get it. NO place in my county had it!! Go figure. SO, Friday I ran up the road and bought it at borders. Oh, I read this one in three days. It's really really good. Chris McCandles was one heck a person. I loved the book. I won't give to much away, but what the trailer for the movie gives away is nothing compared to the book. It was a little slow in one section when the author went into some details about men who came before Chris and did the same sort of thing.

Just let me tell you get the book read it then we will talk...I will be going to see this movie as soon as it comes out.

Not much time for crafting. My desk is piled sky high. So, gotta get that cleaned before my mojo comes back...

Sorry folks, this week was sooo busy. I worked three 12 hour days then my normal 9 hour day. Friday I was off and got to go buy dh a suit. He is performing another wedding this weekend.

This is a card I did for sof. I thought I would post it here just to put something up. I will be making cards today and tomorrow is my stamp club so I will have some stuff to do this week.

Today is my 34th birthday. We went to breakfast this morning. The rest of the day I will be trying to figure out how to work my, birthday present. I got a mp3 player. I can't figure it out. I am so not a tecno geek. AHhh... So, if you own a creative zen plus let me know...LOL

Why Happy Mail is important!!

Ahhhh, Happy mail. If you don't know what that is I will tell you. It's the day you go to the mail box and there is something different usually hand written. It does not say immediate attention, it does not have PAY NOW. It's a hand made card. The only think that could be better is a HUGE check from Ed McMann.

Today I got THREE cards and ONE HUGE package!! The first card is from Betsy a co-worker just letting me know she is thinking of me.

The second was from Sandy, What a gal. She is so Christ like and just knows what to say. The third is from my wonderful pea friend Glinda. Glinda is one of those ladies that you just want to be around. She is just sooo cool and her cards are great. Her card is the one with the mouse. She knows how I love them and has sent me TONS of images. She is one rocking friend.

Now my package. It had......ready for this......TWO bellas..WOo HOoo. I was so shocked and happy. I love bellas. It also had some images and some fun Halloween stuff too!!! This was from my other best pal Andi. Andi, Sandy & I are doing a bible study together and are becoming great friends.. I am so happy to have gotten some happy mail today..Thanks girls.

My surgery went well, I went back to work today. I had some issues (and still do) I won't go into detail BUT lets just say I am a bit bloated and my tummy is a bit sore..ack.

Happy card making day everyone.

Wooo HOoo. I am so excited about today. I am a member over at 2pp's and one of the first peas I met PEEBSMOM is coming to visit and play tomorrow. She lives pretty far away and will be here doing some birdwatching with her husband. He will get to play a little golf and we get to hang out and make cards. I am really happy. It's like a early birthday gift. (it's really next Sunday the big ??)

Well, on to sof. It's a great week of challenges etc. We post challenges tutorials etc. you have a week to complete them post them on the 2pps board and next Saturday stamptober fest begins with a day long of prizes games, raks chosen from the entries etc. Sounds like fun!! well, it is.

I will post on here my creations and hopefully Susan will let me post a pic of us and some things we make. I am so excited.

On a different note. I am now barren. My tubal went very well. I did not get into the surgical room until 3ish. I was there at 11. My mouth is sooo dry. My belly button is sore, But other than that I am felling really well. PRAISE GOD, I can't tell you how strongly I believe in the power of prayer. I have not heard anything good about the after effects. I feel sore don't get me wrong. And when my Motrin starts to wear off I get another 2. Nothing rx. I don't do those. The Motrin seems to be doing fine. While I was waiting, a lady came in with a 7 week old baby girl. I have 3 boys so I go ga ga over the little girls. The lady that was in line next kept teasing me that I should change my mind so she could be next. LOL. She was the nicest lady. She has cancer (Colin) she was there for a biopsy by my Dr. I can't remember her name all of a sudden But Jesus, knows her if you could say a prayer for her.

Why pink ?????

Well, I guess I should explain for those of you who don't really know me. I liked the idea of having colors that match the fall, summer etc.

So, this month I have had orange colors etc. I went to Sandy's blog. (on my side bar it's a rocking blog). Her blog is pink. I thought HELLLLOOOO pink, October and breast cancer...

Let me just tell you about Linda, A.K.A my mom. She is NOT my biological mother, but a lot of people don't know that. She has been my mom for over 10 years now and I have never felt such love for a stranger. She is one of those women that are not only wonderful and beautiful, but accepting and just one heck of a lady. It would take me hours to tell you everything she has done for me and my family.

For the last 5 years my "mom" , & "sister" Erica & I go to the memories expo here in NJ. Two years ago mom sat us down and told us she found a lump. Well, my sister just cried and cried. Me I am too strong to cry, besides I had just found a lump and had it removed. Thank God it was nothing. So, hers will be nothing tooooo.. WRONG. after some test etc. It was breast cancer.

That is when I was floored. I cried, I got angry! Why not me? I am strong, I don't mind being bald heck, I used to shave my head. I can handle this. Well, for some reason God chose her to take on this battle, so the only thing I could do is PRAY... and that I did. When she told me that she had cancer I threw the phone at my mother in law and just cried. How could this be happening.. My sister was moving to Nashville, my brother was in TX. How am I gonna help her alone? How am I gonna fix this?

I could not fix it! Guess who did? JESUS did. about a year ago (19th) she was finished with chemo, underwent a mastectomy and then did a month of radiation. I have NEVER seen a more beautiful bald women. She was so stunning. She just has the spirit of God all over her. I could tell he was just holding her up. She never gave up. She never complained, she may have cried some tears, but she is one strong lady after all. I honestly believe that JESUS with the help of some awesome Dr's' in Philly HEALED MY MOM. She is CANCER FREE...one year now.

We, did the Susan G. Komen, walk on mothers day. My real mom, my sister, my brother, and three of my mothers friends. Together we raised over 1,600 dollars. I raised over 500 and my goal was 500 so I was thrilled about that.

So, for this awesome mother that took me and my two boys in with all my piercings and all my baggage...she did the one thing I needed all my life....TO BE JUST LOVED....

Thank You Linda, Mom, Nana...for being the most awesome women in the world.

Snow Card !!

Good day fellow bloggers,

Before I start off, I just want to say, I finally went the other way on the scale and lost a WHOPPING 1/2 a pound!!!!! LOL LOL Hey, at least it was not another pound gained.

This is another card from stamp camp. I suggest when making a card with glitter, that you completely assemble first. This way the glitter, glue does not smear. I love stickles, This is used with a glue pen and actual glitter. The look (irl) is different much softer.

We used:

Cardstock: Rose red, bashful blue, night of navy. Ink: whisper white, bashful blue, Stamp sets: jumbo snow wheel, snow burst Accessories: silver brads, dazzling diamonds.

Joy Card !!

This is the second card from stamp camp.

We used read red, old olive & whisper white card stock. Ink was old Olive, real red The stamp set is Love and Joy. The only accessories were gold brads. This card does not open. The white paper slips out with your note on it. This would also be a good note card.

Merry Christmas card!!

This was the first card of stamp camp.

We used always artichoke, very vanilla, bravo burgundy. Stamp sets used: Baroque motifs & Holiday wishes. Extras were gold brads and the ticket corner punch & key tag punch.

This card is really easy and so pretty. I would add a little ribbon and some glitter to jazz it up. Maybe ink the edges in gold something like that. This card took very little time. SO, this would be a great card for Christmas.
