Good Bye 2007

2007 a year of the fast. Yes, this year was fast. I can NOT believe that this is 2008 already.

When I look back on '07 not much hits me. It went so fast. I never had time to sit and enjoy it. This past year I split ways from two very close friends of mine. They were older than me and sometimes when your a lot younger than a friend they think of you as more of a child than a equal. I miss them both and wish them well.

I made some very good new friends. They may be in the virtual world but, our friendship is real. I am very thankful for all the peas over at 2pp's that I have gotten to know and learn more about as time goes on. (Andi, Sandi you two are the best peas in the pod)

I said good bye to an artist and a very wonderful friend Sarah, who went home to be with the Lord. I miss her dearly.

This year was really a blur. I have come to realize that this year I really need to grow. Having a few days off from work I realize how little time I spend at home. I really need to get my life in order and I need to build my relationship with Christ. My relationship with him has changed I seem to be gliding along and not really following. I need to work on that very hard this year.

I have very few goals this year, Loose weight, go as green as possible in my home and office, get my money in order. ( not to bad huh)

In February I will be flying to Nashville with my youngest son to see my wonderful niece be born. Elizabeth Dawn will be coming and I get to be there. I miss my sister soooo much. I can hardly wait to see her. It is one of the very hardest things for me to do. FLY, I hate it with a major passion. ( I am now crying that is how much I hate it) I had a major panic attack last night thinking about it. I called my dh at work I was soo upset I thought I may have to go to the hospital.. It is something I have to do. My sister needs me and I need to be there to see my niece born. I need as much prayer as possible for this one please.

So, I am gonna stop my whining and look up and be thankful because:

** My teenage son is doing better in life.
**My 11 year old is fit and in shape and has a passion for football and sports.
**My boss is now my friend
**My husband and I are in love. Something I am not sure I remembered a few mnts ago.
**My mother is now cancer free. ( go Nana)
**My youngest son sleeps in his own bed......Oh wait that still has not fully happened...lol

I hope to have some great things to talk about this time next year. I pray for all my friends here and there and everywhere that they will have a creative, Happy , healthy 2008

My friend Andi has a wonderful little girl named Sami. Her 10th birthday is coming up. Now, that she is turning into a little lady in the double digits I sent her this lovely little lady card. I actually really like this card. I am proud...Don't burst my bubble!! lol

I used prisma pencils to add a chocolate look. Then covered the "glass" with papier. The whip cream is all glitter. Looks so yummy.

The Water Horse **Movie Review**

Hey Bloggers,

Good evening. My dh took me and the boys to see Water Horse. WoW, what a great fun movie. NO, sex. there was one small kiss in the movie, and the kids in the movie were watching. it was not a nasty kiss...lol

The movie had one bad word. So, that is really good. If you see it tell me what you think.

I has some action in it, and it's kinda slow, it's just a nice movie. Hope you see it and enjoy it.

I can't wait till JUNE when the next of the Narnia movies is out. PRINCE CASPIAN I love love love the books and was fanatic about the first movie. Can't wait to see this one.

I know as stampers you have things you hoard. Pp, inks etc.. I seem to have this supply of things I just can't use. What if I run out..lol

Well, we over @ 2pp's wanted to start using up our hoarded stuff so, Daniel started a thread for "hoarders anonymous" .

Christmas eve!!

Well, it's 9:02 and all the little kids and teenager too are in bed waiting for you know who.

The cookies are out, our letter is written , I can't wait to see what Santa is bringing'.

This is what we do on Christmas eve. We go to the in laws for din din. This is our last year for spending Christmas with them. They are moving away.

So, after that my mother and I come home to clean up the house and do any last minute preps. Once the kids are home I let them open one gift. Well, turns out every year it's their new Christmas pj's. So, here is my & my mom with our new pj's on. This is my youngest ds writing a letter to Santa and putting out cookies. My other two kids were hiding from the camera. Tomorrow they won't be aloud to hide...lol

The greatest Christmas gift I can give!!

One thing I can say to anyone who reads this, is that there is one gift you can not buy in the stores and it's a gift that I hope you all have either have or will come to accept.

Knowing Christ does NOT mean your life will be perfect or easy! I will not lie about that. What it will do is give you strength and peace. Living you life according to the word is rewarding in ways on living it could explain.

Today is cleaning, finishing up day. I helped the kids clean their rooms, so Santa, does not fall and trip. Still doing laundry.

I had such a busy day. I am starting to drink a diet pepsi so, I will be up late...YIKES!! I have two days of work left wooo hooo. Friday is our office party...wooohooo.

Merry Christmas goodness!!

Wow, one week from today will be Christmas Eve!! Can you believe it?? I can't it's sooo strange. I had such a fun day today. I went to my youngest son's school to help them make CARDS!! So, today I taught 20 little kids how to make thumb print reindeer. It was soo fun. We also did ornaments. I handed out the glitter and the teacher almost fell over. She said they can't use it alone. I looked over and one little boy had a huge pile of glitter on his ornament... I guess I was NOT thinking...lol It went well. After that the teacher let me stay because the high school chorus was doing some songs. And as a surprise her class got to sing with them (the Sr. high chorus directors dd is in my ds class). It was the cutest thing. They were adorable. I did not cry. (I did when they were practising in the class...LOL)

So, I guess you want to see pics....Guess what. When I got to the class my camera was NOT working....I left it on the usb cable all night so I thing the battery is dead. I hope that is all it is.

*** I also got happy mail from Sandy today, & my new Just Johanna stamps from Andi*** I hope to post about that tomorrow!!

Farm Fever!!

I love this set from su. I don't own my my demo/friend does. I kinda stole it for a little while so I can make some cards.

I hate that people get sick during Christmas! I wish I could take it all away. I hope this card brings my ill friends cheer!!

I used liquid applique on this. I love that stuff. I put it on in a circular motion. It really made it look like wool. Love it.

9 Days till Christmas!!

Well, I did my best trying to post every day!! Guess I failed at that mission!! lol

Yesterday, I cleaned the house. Mostly my "studio/bedroom" I had sooo much dust on the pc and under everything..ack. Once that was finished I figured I might as well do it all. Clearing the desk etc... So, tonight I am working on my Christmas Thank you cards.

Busy days @ Christmas!!

Hi Gang, Sorry I have not been posting my Holiday cheer. Lisa at work has gotten very ill. I am taking on her shift. We both assist Dr. Fuscaldo. Since, she is out I am taking her time as well. It's not a big deal. I could use the comp time for next week.

I feel like with loosing my little time this week I am really behind. I am going after work today to finish up the two packages that must be mailed. I also have to finish my sister because my mom is picking up her package on Tuesday..

My cards have not been mailed. UGH....lol, I have to take them in, I am afraid they are gonna cost more so I want to be sure.

I love this time of year. I do wish it would slooooow down. I promise to post all my Holiday projects this weekend. Sunday should be a down day.

Christmas past!!

One of my favorite movies is the Muppet's version of Scrooge. If you know me, you should know I am nuts about the Muppet's. I have them on my wall in my room. (how 13 is that lol) I have movies, shows, shirts, The only thing I have not done is gotten a Muppet tattoo!!! Hmmmm

One of my favorite Christmas memories of the past is the year I got the Muppet's. I got Piggy, Rowlf, And of course Kermit the frog.

I still have the frog...lol The other were lost years ago....wahhh.

Does anyone remember Emmit Otters jug band Christmas??? It was a Jim Henson production. This is my all time favorite movie for the holidays. I can't seem to find it. I hope to at the mall next week. I had it on VHS it's now time to upgrade.

If you want to see a great movie. You should see this. It's not a full length movie!

I will hopefully take pics of the rest of the crafts I did over the weekend and post them tomorrow. Today I just wanted to chat. After all I am the chatty stamper!!!

Chirstmas Gothic Arch!!

Can you really believe that Christmas is only 16 days away?? I think I will panic now!!

Yesterday was our annual Christmas party with my stamp club. There are only a few of us and yesterday there was 4 of us. So, it's small and cozy. Like I said we had steak and salad etc. it was really nice.

This is the project I brought. Everyone did something very different. This is what I came up with. Phyllis brought this Santa, I don't' know who it's from but I thought he was really cool.

pp: K&co. I added versamark and sprinkled holiday EP over it. Then added buttons and the Merry Christmas is from Su. The swirl is from that huge clear set that's name just flew out of my head lol

Mall Santa, and the big rip off!!

Well, I can't believe it! I just can't. Today was our annual Christmas party @ Sue's for stamp club. We had steak, salad, fruit etc...for a wonderful lunch. My youngest son comes with me and he got some great presents. Wow, the girls are sooo good to him. Since he was such a great boy all day, I thought I would run to the mall so he could see Santa. Sue lives real close to the mall so it was cool. We got in the mall we waited in the line and then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw it. The "SIGN" I was sooo mad I could have reached over and yanked on Santa's, real beard. IT read "respectfully please do not take your own photos" Hello, that is not the worst part. How much do you think it is to get your picture with Santa??

$5, NOOOO $10, NOOOOO oh, $50 dollars.. Why yes!! Can you believe it. 50 dollars is a lot of money at the holidays. The cheapest package was 20 and you only got like a small picture and a wallet. NOt even a 5x7. I was sooo upset. When it was my little guys turn, the lady asked me what package. I said I am sorry but, I can not afford 50 dollars. If I had that I would be buying some food not a photo. She gave me a very dirty look and went and told all the elves. As they sat in there little booth and acted like I was the worst mom ever. I looked at them and said. It's a real shame I can't take his picture. The laughed at me. I wanted WANTED to take the camera and stick up there....................Any way I knew I had to show respect in front of my son.

This is what he said to Santa. First he was very very nervous. He said to him "Santa, am I on the good list?" Santa told him he was, and to try his best at being good. Then Santa, asked him what he wanted. My son told him he forgot because he was sooo nervous, and that he would just send him a letter. Now, how cute is that?? So, that was my day. I will post my projects from stamp club tomorrow. Sorry, about the negative post. Had to let someone out there feel my anguish....LOL LOL LOL Merry Christmas

18 days till Christmas!!

I guess our little Alberta clipper on wed was a bit of surprise. We don't get a lot of snow here in south Jersey. We are a little salty and the sea keeps our air a little warm. We did get about 2' the kids had a hour delay at school..

I did not get to play in this snow and I hate that. I love snow. I could just sit and watch it fall for hours.

Tomorrow is my stamp clubs Christmas party. I am teaching Gothic Arches and we will be doing a Christmas theme. I will post all of that goodness tomorrow.

21 Days till Christmas !

Wow, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. When I leave work and head home there are more and more trees in windows and lights on the homes. I just Love it. I really enjoy seeing all the colors and all the fun decorations.

This card is a thank you card for some of our patients that bring us goodies. Now, I work for a dentist but, we still get great candies and cookies at the holidays..Yahoo!!

The office manager Maggie asked me if I would make some thank you cards and she would pay me. Well, this is the first 4 I did. I will do different ones when the list gets more people. I have no idea what to charge they are simple. I am sure she will give me a few bucks and I am fine with that.

Little things I love!

This is a case in my living room that dh keeps some of his Cd's in. When his sister passed away I got this frame to put her picture in. Last Christmas when I went to put it away he asked me not too! So, Now I just add little things I like around it. This piano was given to me by my mother in law. The other things have been collected over the last 10 years.

Not much of a post had to work late..Sorry..

This is our tree. It's a lovely Frasier fur. I let the kids go at it. So, if you look close you might see a little to much on one branch..lol I keep finding three balls on one branch. It was soo much fun. I do multi coloured lights. I usually have some blinky ones. But this year did not. Now that my mother lives with us. I have some of her old antique ornaments up with my new hallmarks..lol I will be posting some of my fav ornaments this month.

Today is the official start to the holiday season. I am soo ready.. Okay not really ready, but ready to begin. I am going to do my best to post every day something about what we do here for Christmas. I will do cards and crafts and things about our Christmas traditions. I am gonna share today about our yearly trip to Krogmens. It's a tree farm about 30min away. What is special about this place is that they have baby pigs out every year. It's soo fun to see these little guys running around the pen with the 500 lb mama rolling around. This year they were a week old. ohHHHH, how totally cute. Every year we get a Frasier fur tree. They are soft needles but short and sturdy. True store my mom has a wreath from the year my oldest son was born. It's 17 years old is all orange but has all it's needles. It's in a box. She can't throw it away..UGH...
